Authentic Tingsha Cymbal Bell Handmade in Nepal

Releases a clear, resonant, crisp "ting" sound

This beautiful pair of Tibetan Tingsha cymbals (also known as Ting-Sha, Tibetan Chimes, Tibetan Cymbals) are handmade in Nepal from copper. When they are tapped together, the Tingsha release a sweet "ting" sound.

The Tingsha for sale here are decorated with the Tibetan Buddhist mantra 'Om Mani Padme Hum' (also known as The Six True Words). It is said that all of the teachings of the Buddha are contained in this mantra, and can only be understood by those who understand the teachings. Reciting or viewing the mantras themselves are said to invoke compassion.

Origin and Applications of Tibetan Tingsha Chimes

You will find Tingsha Chimes used throughout the Himalayan regions of Nepal, Tibet, India and Bhutan for ritual and ceremonial functions. Tingshas are commonly used to start or end meditation and other spiritual practices. They are also more frequently being used to open and close Yoga Classes and Meditation Groups globally.

Feng Shui practitioners sometimes use Tingsha Chimes to cleanse and clear space, as do Reiki practitioners, energy healers and massage therapists when wanting to remove negative energy on a personal level.

Tingshas all have various emblems and symbols embossed on the outside. The Tingsha for sale here are decorated with the powerful Tibetan Buddhist mantra 'Om Mani Padme Hum'.

How to Use Tibetan Tingsha Chimes

To use the Tibetan Tingsha, hold the leather cord in your fingers and allow the cymbals to strike the other cymbal's rim. Once the sound has stopped resonating, allow the cymbals to strike again.

You can also play the Tingsha by clapping them together.
